My academic journey began with a fascination for ornithology during my bachelor's project, where I conducted a bird diversity survey in a national conservation area in China. This initial experience ignited my interest in understanding avian behavior, leading to my master's thesis that delved into exploring the behavioral differences of birds in environments impacted by human disturbance. Driven by my love for ecological studies, I have embarked on a rewarding path as a PhD candidate in the van Oers group. Currently, my research focus on unraveling how the environment influences the personality of the Great tit (Parus major), a captivating songbird species. I am dedicated to contributing valuable insights to the interplay between wildlife and their surroundings.
