I am a behavioural biologist specialized in social behaviour and social cognition. I have been working mostly with domestic dogs and humans, although cats are next on my list. My research topics include intra- and inter-specific relationships and their components, social learning, social support, stress buffering, personality, and domestication. I work with different populations of dogs, not only living as pets, but also in shelters and on the streets. In particular, I have been managing a field site in Morocco where a team of researchers and students study the behaviour and cognition of free-ranging dogs, where they form packs but still interact with humans. My research is inter-disciplinary, and I happily collaborate with endocrinologists and geneticists.
Also a passionate lecturer, I give lectures on a variety of topics in both BSc and MSc programs. You can find me on Google scholar, LinkedIn, and ResearchGate. The free-ranging dogs project is also present on social media (on Facebook: freerangingdog; and Instagram: free_ranging_dogs_project).
